The story behind
HENCOLIS ONE
From a keeper. For keepers.
HENCOLIS ONE wasn't born in an office, and it didn't start as an idea to simply launch just another sports brand. The story began on the pitch — between the posts.
I've been a goalkeeper myself for years. I know how that one moment feels when a game can be decided. A shot from close range. A cross in the final minute. A one-on-one.
In those moments, you don't want to have to think about your gloves. You have to trust them.
Over the years I've worn and tested many different goalkeeper gloves. Some had strong grip, others a good fit or a bold design. But again and again, I felt something was missing. At some point, I asked myself one simple question:
„Why don't I build the glove I actually want to wear myself?“
That's exactly where HENCOLIS ONE began.
The name is personal to me. It carries a part of my own story — and that's exactly why, from day one, I never wanted to build a product I couldn't stand behind 100 percent.
I didn't want to pick a finished off-the-shelf glove and simply put a logo on it. I wanted to understand and decide how every single part of the glove should feel: the cut, the latex, the fit, the wrist, the materials, the seams and the design.
And the road there was anything but perfect. There were samples that didn't match my vision. Designs that looked better in pictures than in reality. Materials that had to be changed. Manufacturers whose quality wasn't good enough.
I've invested money, time and countless hours into this project. But it's exactly those setbacks that made HENCOLIS ONE what the brand is today. Because I never wanted to settle for "good enough".
If I put a glove on the market under my name, I want to be able to wear it myself in training and in matches — and be proud of what it became.
That's why HENCOLIS ONE isn't just developed on a computer. The gloves are developed, tested and continuously improved from a goalkeeper's perspective. Grip, fit, comfort and design have to work together. Not just for a good product photo. But for the moment the ball comes at your goal.
That's why HENCOLIS ONE doesn't stand for perfection from day one. It stands for the ambition to get better every single day.
With every new glove. With every training session. With every match. With every keeper's feedback.
Because this brand shouldn't just tell my story. One day, it should become part of the story of many goalkeepers.
